Free Christmas Toys for Kids

I got so excited when I opened my presents up on Christmas morning as a child.  As you get older, the spirit of Christmas becomes more about spending time with your loved ones that receiving tones of gifts.  Unfortunately, there are many children who will not get toys up under their tree.  It is sad that many parents have lost their job and simply cannot afford it.  As a child, children only think of Santa coming with a ton of toys for them.  You even learn the commercialism of Christmas in school.  When children don't get gifts, they will automatically relate that they have been either a bad boy or girl.

There are so many organizations that try to give back the holiday spirit to the children, despite the bad economy.  Some of these organizations have been around for over a decade.  Here is a list of a few organizations that will put gifts up under your child's tree.  PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG.

Prison Fellowship: Prison fellowship is a Christian prison ministry that sponsors Angel Tree that provides new toys and Christmas gifts, to children whose parents are. Angel Tree partners with local Churches, who sponsor toy drives to collect toys and gifts for needy children. In order to receive toys and gifts for Christmas , the parent who is incarcerated, must fill out an application with the prison Chaplin in July.
The Salvation Army: The Salvation Army sponsors the Christmas Tree, a program to bring new toys to children for Christmas. Registration can be done through the Department of Social Services or go directly to a Salvation Army in your area, where you will be screened, to confirm you are a family in need.

Operation Christmas Child: This program sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, distributes toys and gifts to children in impoverished nations, as well as in disaster areas in the United States. To receive toys for your children contact, Samaritan's Purse online and look for a Operation Christmas Child in your area.

Toys for Tots: Toys for Tots, is sponsored by Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. New unwrapped toys are collected October, November and December for needy children in the community. To request at toy, go online, and fill out an application, giving child's name, age and sex.

Churches: Contact your denominational headquarters, to find out if they offer a program near you. Many churches offer toy drives and gifting programs for children during Christmas.
